Please indicate if there are any interests which should be declared.  A declaration of an interest should indicate the nature of the interest (if not already declared on the Register of Interests) and the agenda item to which it relates.  If a disclosable pecuniary interest is declared, the Member should withdraw from the room whilst the matter is discussed.

Councillor Ian Devereux declared n non-pecuniary interest in all Agenda Items as a Council appointed Trustee on the Alive Leisure Trust.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider passing the following resolution:

 

“That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 or 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act”.

Minutes:

The Executive Director presented the Cabinet report and provided Members with information on the proposals to be considered and responded to questions from the Panel, Cabinet Members and Members present under Standing Order 34.

 

The representatives from Unison presented their comments on the Cabinet report and proposals and responded to questions from the Panel, Cabinet Members and Members present under Standing Order 34.

EXEMPT - Presentation from Alive Leisure followed by Question and Answer Session

Minutes:

Representatives from Alive Leisure were present at the meeting for this item.  They presented their proposals and responded to questions from the Panel, Cabinet Members and Members present under Standing Order 34.

 

The Chairman thanked the representatives from Alive Leisure for attending the meeting.

 

Representatives from Alive Leisure left the meeting.

EXEMPT - Panel Discussion on Leisure Services Provision

To discuss the presentation from officers and Alive Leisure and make appropriate recommendations to Cabinet.

Minutes:

The Panel discussed the information presented by Alive Leisure and the Executive Director.

 

It was explained that the proposals would be considered at a Special Cabinet meeting on 17th October.

 

The Panel considered their recommendations to Cabinet.

 

RESOLVED: The Panel supported the recommendations to Cabinet as set out in the report.
