There were no apologies for absence.

There were no items of urgent business.

There were no declarations of interest.

RESOLVED: That under Section 100(a)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the Hearing and stated that the purpose of the Hearing was to consider an application for a combined driver licence.  He introduced the Panel Members, Officers and Legal Advisor.

The Legal Advisor outlined the procedure which would be followed at the Hearing.

At the request of the Chairman, the Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer presented her report.  She explained that the report was for Members of the Panel to consider whether the applicant was fit and proper to hold a combined driver licence because of matters revealed on his Medical Report.

The applicant was not present at the Hearing and therefore did not present his case.

The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer summed up her case and requested that the Panel consider the contents of the report, including the submissions put forward by the applicant, and dispose of the matter by using one of the methods set out in the report.

The applicant was not present to sum up his case.

The Legal Advisor informed the Panel that there were no outstanding matters.

The Decision of the Panel was read out.
