MEMBERS PRESENT UNDER STANDING ORDER 34
To note the names of any Councillors who wish to address the meeting under Standing Order 34.
All Members of Council present at the Council meeting were in attendance.
To give consideration to the attached report and recommendations on Devolution, which will be debated at the Council meeting prior to this meeting.
Item not subject to call in
Councillor Long has contacted Councillor Wareham, Chairman of the Corporate Performance Panel and informed him of the fact that the item being considered at this meeting was deemed as one of urgency as the decision had to be made by 17 November 2016, and therefore would not be subject to call in, although Council had thoroughly debated the item before the Special Cabinet. Councillor Wareham had agreed with that position.
At the debate in the Council meeting preceding the Special Cabinet Meeting on the subject of the Deal on the table for East Anglian Devolution, Council had agreed not to support the proposal to support the proposed Devolution Deal. Cabinet accordingly agreed with those views.
RESOLVED: That theproposed devolution deal for Norfolk & Suffolk be rejected.
Reason for Decision
To take into account the views and wishes of Full Council.
