Councillors A Kemp and A Ryves were present under Standing Order 34 and asked questions/made comments.

 

The Borough Council’s Housing Strategy Officer was present for this item.

 

The Principal Planner (Policy) introduced the outstanding Housing Policies set out below.

 

The Task Group considered the outstanding Housing Policies as set out below.  Officers responded to questions and comments from the Task Group and Members attending under Standing Order 34.

 

Affordable Housing Policy

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the policy, subject to the final evidence studies conclusions.

 

Housing for the Elderly and Specialist

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the policy, subject to the final evidence studies conclusions.

 

Adaptable and Accessible Homes

 

It was noted that currently the Borough Council did not have a policy but were seeking to introduce one.

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the policy, subject to the final evidence studies conclusions.

 

Sustainability Appraisals of the above policies

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the SAs of the housing policies.

 

 

The Task Group adjourned at 11.16 am and reconvened at 11.21 am.

Councillors A Kemp and A Ryves were present under Standing Order 34 and asked questions/made comments.

 

The Principal Planner (Policy) presented the following policies:

 

·         Strategic Policy E1.KLR:  The King’s Lynn Riverfront Regeneration Area.

·         E1.5 King’s Lynn – Boal Quay Policy.

·         E1.8 King’s Lynn – South Quay Policy.

·         E1.10 King’s Lynn – North of Wisbech Road Policy.

·         E1.11 King’s Lynn – Southgates Policy.

 

Officers present responded to questions and comments from the Task Group and Members attending under Standing Order 34.

 

Councillor de Whalley wished it to be recorded that he did not agree the above policies.

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the above policies, together with the SA.

Councillors A Kemp and A Ryves were present under Standing Order 34 and asked questions/made comments.

 

The officers highlighted the changes to the policies set out below and responded to questions and comments from the Task Group and Members attending under Standing Order 34.

 

The Task Group considered the following policies:

 

9.4 West Winch

 

The Planning Policy Manager referred the Task Group to page 210 and highlighted the proposed change to include reference to the master plan being prepared as a supplementary planning document.

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the Policy.

 

9.4.1 E2.1 West Winch Growth Area Strategic Policy

 

AGREED:  The Task Group agreed the Policy.

 

The Task Group had previously agreed the South Wootton, North Wootton and Downham Market Chapters Policies and Sustainability Appraisal at the 21 October 2019 meeting.

 

It was noted that the following policies would be discussed at the next meeting:

 

·         Hunstanton

·         Wisbech Fringe

·         Watlington

·         Marham

·         Terrington St Clement.

 

Please Note:  Members were advised that it was not intended to go through each settlement and the Task Group was invited to email any comments on the settlements direct to the Planning Policy Team that they would like to go through in detail at subsequent meetings and why.  The Task Group was advised that documents which provided an analysis of these chapters were available to view via the Agenda published for the 5 August 2020 meeting.

Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Task Group will take place on Wednesday 4 November at 11 am via Zoom.
