Councillor Long proposed recommendation CAB142: COVID 19 - Recovery Strategy seconded by Councillor Nockolds.

In debating the recommendation, Councillor Ryves proposed an amendment to the Strategy to include the following: “that this Council recognises that a major objective is to support the disadvantaged, and therefore deprivation must be placed at the heart of the Plan”.  This was seconded by Councillor Kemp.

Councillors Long and Nockolds accepted the amendment which then became part of the substantive motion.  Council debated the substantive Motion and with the required number of supporters Councillor Long requested a recorded vote on the recommendation.

Prior to the vote the Monitoring officer checked with those councillors whose camera was switched off.  Councillors Rose, Howman and Bone confirmed that they had not heard the whole debate so did not vote on the recommendations.
