Declarations of Interest

Please indicate if there are any interests which should be declared.  A declaration of an interest should indicate the nature of the interest (if not already declared on the Register of Interests) and the agenda item to which it relates.  If a disclosable pecuniary interest is declared, the member should withdraw from the room whilst the matter is discussed.

Request to remove signage from a vehicle

Minutes:

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the Hearing and stated that the purpose of the Hearing was to consider an application to depart from the Licensing Conditions and Procedures in respect of Private Hire Signage.  He introduced the Panel Members, Officers and Legal Advisor.

Minutes:

The Legal Advisor outlined the procedure which would be followed at the Hearing.

Minutes:

At the request of the Chairman, the Senior Licensing Officer presented her report.

 

The Licence Holder provided a point of clarification and advised that he worked part time at King’s Abbey Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles.

 

There were no questions from the Panel.

 

The Panel adjourned at 10.09 am to inspect the Licence Holder’s vehicle.

 

The Panel reconvened at 10.18 am.

Minutes:

At the request of the Chairman, the Licence Holder presented his case.

 

The Licence Holder responded to questions from the Senior Licencing Officer and the Panel.

Summing Up - Senior Licensing Officer

Minutes:

The Senior Licensing Officer summed up her case and requested that the Panel consider the contents of the report, including the submissions put forward by the Licence Holder, and dispose of the matter by either allowing the request or rejecting the request.

The Licence Holder thanked the Panel for their time in considering the application.
